In fact all XO-1 units shipped to volunteers during the past 9+ months
are from 2007/2008 but semi-refurbished (with
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Release_notes/8.2.1 installed), so it appears
a Serial Adapter will indeed not be required. But follow the above
[[Fix Clock]] instructions to be sure!
