[Testing] Any thing need to update on MPP for mesh network?

Kim,
I just tried build 505 and it doesn't seem to be able to configure an IPv4
address on the mesh interface automatically.
I am in my hotel room, I want to able to open the laptops and have them
talk to each other. I can connect and get an address from a public hotspot
(that my Panasonic is unable to ;-), but the mesh interface isn't getting
configured.
Build 499 was doing that, I will now try build 502.

Hi Bryan,
With the 502 build, I was able to start one laptop, click on the
infrastructure Access Point and make sure it had a good connection to the
internet. Then when I started the second laptop, it connected to the mesh
from the first one; it never got a 'good' IPv4 address, but it was able to
connect to the internet as well through the mesh.
I see that there is a build 505 today, and I believe that this one may
have fixed a few more problems with collaboration, so I will put the
information I find about connectivity and suspend/resume in there.
I expect this basic test should still work. You might want to turn on only
one laptop first until it has a good connection to the AP; then add
others.

Well, the XO creates a mesh when
1) Connect to an infrastructure: *NOT* be workable for us
2) Connect it via USB-Eth dongle : is workable.
I'm wondering how to configure XO, making it connect to infrastructure AP
and playing a mesh portal at the same?
Anyone try this successfully ?
Bryan

Chai-Ying (and others on testing maillist),
As of the latest builds (starting with 484), the XO will automatically
create a mesh when it is connected to an infrastructure access point, or
if you connect it via USB-Eth dongle to an existing network. This is the
preferred method for testing since it represents the real life situation
more closely.
We should not need to use the information on the wiki page below, unless
you need to set up an emulated school server for some reason. I added this
note to the wiki page below.
Chia-Ying - please tell me if the automatic methods work for you. And
others, please try this out and add bugs appropriately if it is not
working.
Thanks,
Kim

Hello,
From 478+ image, it change the wireless firmware to new version.
I can't connect to mesh network with these image(482, 485, 486, 488, 494…
) on MP.
Image: 406.14/406.15 work normal on MP.
It may need to change new wireless version on MPP.

I think the instruction of "Establishing a Mesh Portal" need to update.
