I had it on good advice that mounts are not reestablished on restart. It makes sense as there is no physical event of plugging in the device. But because of your comment I just rebooted and the mount was in fact reestablished, so looks like it is not in fact a problem. > My gut feel is that means there is something wrong with the automounting;
