[Server-devel] What's cooking on the XS pot - (27 April 2009)

If you look at the git and yum repos, there are several updates to
idmgr and ejabberd-xs packaging, having to do with better behaviour
for an un-configured XS, and the library that lets Moodle control
ejabberd via ejabberctl.

A few tweaks in the ejabberd-xs package have to do with this.
ejabberctl is a somewhat rough bit of bash scripting, and i've had to
patch it here and there. More patching may follow, as it's forcing us
to apply some nasty workarounds.

Tomorrow I hope to complete the Moodle side of things. It is pretty
close to ready, but a few bits don't yet work, and debugging code is
strewn all over the place. You don't want to see this kind of code
quality in the git repo.

Even if the code is still being worked on, it is reasonably safe to do

  yum --enablerepo=olpcxs-testing update

to bring in new idmgr, ejabberd-xs, moodle-xs and xs-config.

cheers,

martin
