We should consider Via C3 processors unsupported at this time.
That may change in the future.

I have been testing all builds against a Via C7 processor, as well as a
Celeron and an Athlon.

This bug is against a kernel package newer than the one used in the XO.
But note the claims that while Via C3s DO boot fine with i686 kernels,
something happened to Fedora's kernels to prevent this.
(Personally, I thought you needed to compile for i586 for the C3.)

We use stock Fedora kernels at this time.  Although I don't recommend
it, you could build your own kernel, and pull from the olpc repos for
everything else when building the livecd.   You will also need to build
recent libertas and usb8xxx drivers against that kernel (upstream hasn't
trickled down into distros yet).
