People do occasionally volunteer, you know. It's fine to say that _you_
are too busy, but please don't speak for everyone.

I believe that may be the only update made to the DS since 703 and I
doubt it depends on anything but a JSON library.

Alternately, go your own way and see if you can drum up the volunteer
labor required to perform the backport, perhaps after you return from
your travels!
