Thanks to you folks, I found another Sparkfun-like company: NKC  
Electronics. JTAG for $17.? Digital 'scope for about $500? (Would that be  
good for a Repair center 'scope? (I hanen't yet looked at it in detail.)

Leads me to wonder about hardware hacking XOs. This way leads to sin.  
(^_^) At least, they have USB .ports.

Possible truly-tiny multicontact connectors: discarded cell phones,  
between the mobo and the display, etc. lid. (But, who can solder to those?  
A pool of flux helps, but...)
