For those folks interested in unbricking XOs, here's an interesting update to the issue - http://en.forum.laptop.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=430&start=60 Turns out that some connectors on defunct hard drives have the same layout as the serial port on the XO moby. Also, the guy has used the Arduino serial cable - I have one of these so I'm going to give this a try.
