I'd like to invite OLPC members to our first ever Education Designathonâ??like a hackathon, but more.
I think your membership and followers are already passionate about education and would be a great fit for our event!

Got an idea that will improve education?

The Education Designathon is a hackathon for coders, builders, and system analysts.
No(t just) coding required!
Students and staff come together from all over the 'tute to tackle some of the biggest challenges in education and design multi-disciplinary solutions, framed around three spheres:
      Digital Learning
      Hands-on Learning
      Systems Re-thinking
Students will form teams of 3-5 and have a machine shop, prototyping materials, and a $50 budget to develop their idea overnight. EdExperts from the field will introduce their challenges from experience and help students develop their ideas.
