Hi <recipient>,
Hope you had a good weekend! Just wanted to check-in with you regarding
Friday's upcoming workshop. Should we plan to head over at the same
time--4 PM? Do you know how many teachers we are expecting? Is there a
projector system that we could use in the space where we will be holding
the workshop?
I have a few other quick questions related to the fast-approaching
pilot. We are still in the process of fundraising, but at this point, we
would like to proceed by purchasing the maximum number of XOs possible
with the funds that you have reserved for this pilot. We should be sure
to place this order within the next week or so to ensure their delivery
before Christmas.
Lastly, we have a team of high school students flying in from Illinois
from Jan. 4 - 10 to help with the pilot setup. We would like to have
them spend their time (1) setting up infrastructure and (2) interacting
with the students, teachers, administrators, and parents of the pilot as
they possibly can. We think this would be the perfect time to continue
to work with the teachers to develop the curriculum, as well as to hold
a pre-pilot week of workshops for interested students, teachers, and
parents. The envisioned schedule for this week is as follows:
Day 1: 3rd teacher training workshop; classroom simulation
Day 2: parent information session
Day 3: after-school XO activity for students
Day 4: individual meetings with pilot teachers
Day 5: action plan decided; tech system finalized
Do you think this is feasible?
Finally, we were hoping to schedule meetings with the teachers who will
be doing the pilot before everyone leaves for winter break. I also would
like to sit in on a few classes, just to observe the class dynamic. Let
me know if you think this would work.
So sorry for the long message!
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
MacKenzie
