I definitely think the session on how to use the XO / navigate sugar should be separate to the activities. They need a proper run through the different buttons on the key board and how to navigate and i think that should be done first - remembering we will have attendees that were not there for the last session.
Also Amir, we need to be fully across each of these applications, able to demonstrate the full value of each using examples from the curriculum for each.
The agenda below needs to represent everything we plan to do in the session tomorrow.
Agenda
Tuesday 14th July
5:00pm Start
OLPC - vision, activities, etc.
XO laptop and Sugar
* understanding the various buttons and what they did (and didnt) do.
* XO startup / booting / basic attributes
* Connection to networks
Activities - run through a couple of activities and show how they can fit perfectly into National Curriculum requirements
Selected list of activities to go through - in detail?
* Write - including how to embed items into it
* Journal - demonstrate power of journal throughout the session
* Turtle Art
* Physics
