Hi David,

Thanks for the introduction.

I'm working on the publicity in the UK. OLPC has a media partner in
the US and their UK office are helping us out. So far we have already
filmed for one significant TV spot but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to
make the details public yet. It'll be aired a few days before
Christmas. I will send info and reminders to this list, so keep an eye
on your inbox.

We are working on more opportunities as well. I'll post updates to
this list if anything solidifies.

As for volunteering, OLPC always needs help in all areas, I'm not sure
if I could pinpoint where help is needed "the most." The main areas
are:
 - software development (OS/activities)
 - user support http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Support_gang
 - testing http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Community_testing
 - administration http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC:Volunteer_Infrastructure_Group

And don't forget about our home country :)
I listed some ideas for volunteer/grassroots projects at
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_UK
Feel free to add more. And if there is anything there that interests
you, send a quick mail to this list and then jump right in. I'll help
you get started, where I can.

Thanks,
Daniel
