Image processing on the wiki is indeed broken.  We need someone
competent to analyze what imagemagick is up to to look at it and turn
it on in a way that doesn't overload the system.

I'd really like to see this fixed soon; it's not only a slowdown for
the wiki but also makes the gallery renderer work poorly (note the
three nested divs).
