[Sur] OLPC International Internship program - reply to Kiko

Dear Kiko, 

OLPC certainly welcomes all undergraduate and graduate university students 
to apply to the internship program. If the developers you know are 
enrolled in a degree program please do encourage them to submit an 
application and if they have been involved with OLPC please have them note 
this in their letter. This is the first year we are offering a formal 
international internship program and the response has been fantastic. Our 
intent is to continue this program and to build similar ones in years to 
come.

Hi Nia,,

good to know you´re coordinating the internship in Peru,

i´d like to know if it´s possible for* local developers *to take part in 
the
internships...

i´ve been talking with a few friends who could be very motivated to take
part. of course they should pass the selection process, etc.

your peruvian counterpart in the internship programm (DIGETE) is not 
really
able to process such requests... they seem to be too busy with the plain
logistics, and they mean "volunteers do disturb"....

so it would be great if local applications to the internship program can
take the long way through your application interface!

it should be possible! don´t you think?
