Damn! I wish I had known about this! So 3 old dirs are kept - excellent.

Well, if you can get your hands on the 'corrupt' datastore dir,
doesn't it also contain the xapian DB? Just renaming it into
'datastore' should re-produce the error...

Maybe not?
