[Olpc-socal] SCaLE 10X Is This Weekend!

Hi olpc-SoCal list members!


SCaLE 10X started today and continues through the weekend at the Hilton LAX.  Come tomorrow and bring the kids for a day of fun in the "Next Generation" activities for youth and the OSSIE track for people interested in open source in education.  My talk, about Sugar On A Stick is scheduled for 11:30-12:30 and Abe Kazemzadeh is scheduled to talk about the after school Contributors Program project he is working with in South Central LA.


The exhibit hall will have lots of interesting things to see, including our booth where we will be showing the new XO-1.75s and experimenting with charging and running them with hand cranks. We will also have one very special XO-1.75 that has the Pixel Qi touchscreen you can try. We will also be making LIve CDs of Sugar on a Stick that you can take home and try on your own computer.


Hope to see you there, tomorrow or Sunday.  Exhibit hall hours are 10am-6 pm Sat, and 10 am-4pm Sun.  OSSIE presentations run from 10 am-5:30 pm Saturday, and the "Next Generation" activities are all day on Sat.  Exhibit Hall admission is $10, youth 16 and under are free for everything, and full conference registrations cost $70 unless you are an educator…. who get 50% off ($35).
