Since some people here might be unfamiliar with Sugar Labs activities,
an attempt to fill in some background info (Caroline et. al, please
correct any mistakes I've made):

Caroline is the de-facto project manager (more by meritocratic action
than formal title, as open-source projects typically are) for SoaS
development, has an engineering department in the Philippines helping
out with that (I'm guessing Hamilton is there?) along with several
volunteers from around the world (Sebastian Dziallas comes to mind), and
is running Boston-area pilots in addition to doing technical testing.

They're generally awesome about keeping development transparent and
informing the community about what's going on.
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_on_a_Stick is the project page, and I
believe most if not all of the discussion happens on a combination of
#sugar (IRC, freenode) and the iaep and sugar-devel lists at
http://lists.sugarlabs.org. If you want to be sure to stay on top of
what's going on with SoaS, I highly recommend lurking those places... it
takes a lot of effort to do the development, testing, and deployment of
a project like SoaS, so the people involved may not have the bandwidth
to make sure their updates spread further than the channels they're
already using (and in fact I bet they would appreciate it if someone
would help them with that!)

PS: Request - can we please only quote the parts of emails that we're
directly responding to? Especially when the daily digest gets involved,
it's hard for me to sift through the long emails that result otherwise.
Thanks!
