The Sugar UI is designed to be completely scalable, but there might be
many small bugs in the current implementation

Yes, this was a 0.82 bug. On the Classmate PC, for example, the
activity circle would be rendered misaligned vertically.

We would appreciate receiving bug reports for these usecases on
dev.sugarlabs.org, although I'm not sure how much developer time we
can give to them at this time.

Me too. Mac OS, being just a fancy flavour of UNIX, would not be that
hard to support. A few months of packaging and bugfixing work would
make something sufficiently polished for user consumption.

But a Windows port, although Nicholas makes it sound trivial, would
really require a huge amount of work because so many of Sugar's
dependencies have never been ported to this platform before.

SoaS completely sidesteps the problem by letting you try Sugar on
Windows and Mac computer without even installing anything at all.
As it matures, I would recommend it over hard disk installation for
safety and portabiliey (in the sense that you can take Sugar with
youin your pocket).
