[OLPC-Philippines] OLPC-Philippines Digest, Vol 15, Issue 10

Hi All,

I've used GoogleApps to setup an intranet site for my last organization and
I do agree with some of
the comments below, it is quite useful. It satisfies most of the things that
I listed on my last post and I
do prefer it over Yahoo Groups (since I am pretty happy with gmail so far).
Thanks Naz for your inputs and
I cast my vote for that plan of action.

In would be awesome if we could get someone to do the olpc.ph site. Just
glossed over the Nepal
site that Naz mentioned and I like it. The site is uncluttered and focused
on the content rather than fluffy graphics.
The organization itself seemed to have a wider focus than what we want to
achieve, but that topic can be
discussd in the meeting. If we focus on just getting the main objective of
the umbrella OLPC organization,
can we possibly share some of its contents (logo, etc.) and maybe tweek them
a bit to "Filipinize" it?
Marketing-wise and time-wise this might be a better move since we are still
pretty much unknown so
having an already identifiable logo links us to the main organization for
now until we can get more
press time and spin off our own logo. But I digress, let's focus on forming
the organization first. Sorry.
BTW,let me know if PhilWeavers won't be able to do it...I'd like to take a
crack at doing the site. No charge
folks...hehehe.

Peace out!
