Hello fellow XO enthusiasts. I'm a member of a progressive church you never heard of - Unitarian Universalists. We have two churches in Manila and twenty-five in Negros, with a total of about 2,200 members. We believe we can draw wisdom and inspiration not only from the Bible but also from science and the wisdom of other great religions. We are probably too few in number to influence the Philippine Ministry of Education alone and would like to hook up with OLPCphilippines. Together maybe we can get the kids what they need to get an education and break the cycle of poverty.

How can I help? I'm a retired English prof., MA English, MS Education, not very computer literate, but I know a good thing when I see it: XO. I expect to be in Manila on March 4 and 5, then off to Negros. Have any of you had contact with your Ministry of Ed. or other govt office? Any suggestions?
