I've actually tried this but find the Ubuntu hack much more usable
than Fedora for some reason. The only problem I see with the Ubuntu
hack is that it is packaged as Ubuntu with logos and stuff when it is
in fact using the OLPC kernel which could probably make the Canonical
trademark people unhappy especially that the hack is becoming quite
popular to those who availed G1G1. I personally know some key people
in Canonical so I sent a clarification email to them in behalf of the
original author of the Ubuntu remix (teapot) but still awaiting reply.

It's actually a recursive acronym for Wine Is Not an Emulator hehe.

Running a swap would make it a bit more tolerable but doesn't
necessarily result to faster performance.
