Fedora on the XO has an ordinary Linux filesystem.
In terminal,
yum install mc
Midnight Commander is based on the old Norton Commander file browser
from DOS, but includes a whole lot of Linux functionality like being
able to change file owners and permissions in a character-based dialog
box. Very lightweight. I recommend configuring "Lynx-like cursor"
controls for directory navigation.
