I have idea about creating mass produced OLPC based on ARM All-in-one System-On-Chip from Marvell Semiconductor in Batam, Indonesia for Indonesian market with price tag of US$ 100. 

The CEO and Founder of Marvell is Mr Sehat Sutardja from Indonesia. There are local LCD manufacturers in Indonesia such as Samsung, Advance Digitals.

There is a crisis of energy in rural areas and low telephone density. IMO OLPC is the ideal solution for Indonesia.

I am glad that OLPC Buy 2 Get 1 is open for public. Because OLPC is based on x86 AMD CPU, can OLPC support open source x86 operating systems such as BSD, FreeDOS, AROS (AmigaOS clone), HAIKU (BeOS clone) or ReactOS?
