Why not a livecd with all the enviroment of laptop? I think it could be 
useful for computers (laptops or not) that use majorty kids
I like the idea of a complete OLPC distribution on a livecd, with install option.  In addition to that complete solution for giving an existing PC the functionality of an OLPC laptop, just the single service of functioning as a mesh wireless router would be nice to have for all Linux distributions.  Once the major activity involved in getting OLPC into mass production has subsided, maybe some derivative efforts such as these can be supported.
