Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) initiated an activity called
the World Game, the goal of which is "to make the world
work for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time,
through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological
offense or the disadvantage of anyone."
It helps to play the game to be able to read. The XO
laptop can help people learn to read.
It is important to be able to work with numbers. The XO
can help people learn math, and programming.
The XO can also help in the creation and distribution
of digital works of visual and performing art. That's how
you earn bonus points.
People who question the educational value of the XO
laptop do not understand; the medium is the lesson. We
need the XO laptop to play the game, and to win.
