[Olpc-open] Working on "Community Building" article in the wiki

Clare,

That's fantastic. I think alot of students are in a perfect position to
develop and create content for OLPC. Global issues are great pls do cover
them. People in Nepal and a lot of other developing nations need basic
English and mathematics skills. If you can find time at some point to work
on creating materials for those two areas, that would be great.

I really don't know much about teaching programming through game design. SJ
Klein may know though.

I think groups of students in the US are perfect for generating content. I
have discussed w/ my Aunt (a teacher) and she thinks we could get a lot of
students to create content through the mandatory public service that many
high schools require. I don't think there is a organization outside of OLPC
that is actively generating content for OLPC in the US but there should be.

Let me reiterate, create content on whatever you think is needed but pls,
pls find time to work on English as a second language and math. Open-source
materials on those subjects are desperately needed in the developing world.

If anyone on *OLPC-Open* knows some good open-source ESL resources, pls let
me know.

As far as I know, your group would be the first student group to create
content for OLPC. But I'm not the content expert, SJ Klein is.

I am cc'ing SJ Klein and Richard Rowe of OLPC. SJ is in charge of content
and Richard is in charge of working w/ grassroots organizations.

keep up the great work! And please post the blueprint for a game jam to the
wiki. We would love to do one in Nepal
