This is reminiscent of the Cardiac (actually cardboard!) computer
that was given to educators by Bell Labs in the 60's. CARDboard
Illustrative Aid to Computing. 10 op codes, 100 storage locations.

I got mine from friends taking CS at IIT when I was teaching at
Loyola (math at Lake Shore). I still have it, but it hasn't operated
in 30 or 35 years. 8-)
'Twould be nice to have yours or a CARDIAC emulator for showing
kids and letting them learn the innards.
