Pretty much any USB 802.11g wireless device should work over the radio
to the XO wireless.  If it doesn't, the project is interested in a bug
report.

If this happens please log a bug report with the details of the wireless
router, the router firmware, the radio environment, the XO hardware version,
and the XO OS build.

Close.  There are three of them, one for each mesh channel.  They are
under development at the moment, and are called the Active Antennae.
I'm expecting samples soon.

(This information subject to change, there are people far closer to the
development than I).

I'm not able to confirm if the hardware is off-the-shelf, it probably
depends on what shelf is involved.
