hey all,
I have been traveling and just picked up in this thread. I have used
scribus a lot for DTP for PDF and print-on-demand source file (PDF)
generation.
We (FLOSS Manuals) scripted it using the internal python api to import
chapters from our manuals and format it nicely. Here is an example of
the PDF generated via scribus for print:
