Hi everyone -
A couple of thoughts about setup before the sprint...

I'd love to have someone set up a screenshot collection server like
Christoph and Seth have described using:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar/Quick_screenshot_hack. David, is that
the sort of thing you could set up before end-of-August?

I plan to have at least four XOs there, maybe more, hopefully prepped
ahead of time. I need specifics on what build to install and I'll need
to request developer keys for each of those machines. Right now I've
got joyride-2253, but any news about the best candidate build would be
extremely helpful. Mikus Grinbergs is helping by prepping machines and
learning which build will be best to install. It sounds like it's 8.2,
right?

Thanks SJ for offering XO machines. Can someone get an XO count from
the participants to see if we need to prep more physical XOs for use
in Austin? David, that might be another good advance non-writing
activity if you're willing.

Also knowledge of the core activity set would be useful so we can
install it ahead of time - my current plan is to stick with the G1G1
set, keeping an eye on testing. Any help with a final decision there
will be appreciated.

Fundraising is working from the link to
http://flossmanuals.net/donate, which is great but not huge numbers
(anyone on the Library list is welcome to donate there if interested).
:)

I plan to talk to The Content Wrangler this week who sounds like he
can donate, but I'm not sure what level he's considering. I've emailed
absolutely all my contacts in the tech comm world, including IBMers
who are fond of the project. I got positive responses from all over
tech comm, including Freescale, so I hope to get a couple hundred here
and there.

I'd love to hear others chime in on why it's a good thing to pay money
to get people together in real-space to churn out doc. :)

David Strauss will be at Drupalcon that week but wishes us the best.
:) There were other Austinites at the XO Austin user group last Friday
who will be helping out, including Yama Ploskonka and Mikus Grinbergs.

Thanks,
Anne
