While I am personally of the opinion that EEG is of absolutely no use to
the XO recipients, I will note that the XO happens to be ideally suited
for it.  The OpenEEG circuits include their own ADC, microcontroller, and
filters, none of which are likely to be necessary for us.  Instead, anyone
wishing to construct an EEG from an XO can create a minimal amplifier
circuit and plug the output directly into the XO's microphone input.

Most sound cards have a high-pass filter that prevents them from being
used for EEG, but the filter on the XO's soundcard has deliberately been
designed so that it can be deactivated in software, as for the Measure
activity.
