[OLPC-GSoC] GSoC 2008

hello everyone,

this mail is in reference to as an introduction about myself. i am an
Electronics and Communication Engineer(junior) from NSIT, India. for the
last few months, i have been looking about OLPC through wiki and website. i
have undergone its project ideas presented in GSoC 2008. i have a good
knowledge of C,C++,python, java etc. i am a great promoter of open source
softwares and use Linux and important applications like gcc, gdb, svn, open
CV etc. i have worked quite a lot on speech recognition methods and
implemented it in real time operating systems. at OLPC ideas, i am looking
towards speech synthesis technology. i also presented an idea about the
speech synthesis and speech recognition methods so that a language learning
game and application can be made. i have some plans about such game and it
can be implemented easily using DSP's methods like Hidden Markov Model(*HMM*)
along with Linear Predictive Coding(*LPC*) and fast fourier transform(*fft*).
i am also forward towards the development of a kind of small encyclopedia
which will contain the most common general knowledge data. i have interest
in participating OLPC-GSoC student applications so that i can contribute in
this global education mission.
