[OLPC-GSoC] Selection process

I'm not sure if this was discussed before, but what is the official
selection process for applications? Is the ranking that OLPC will give
Google simply based on the cumulative score, or is it based on
something else?

And do we know how many spots OLPC is likely to get this year?
