Waveplace is a really cool project; when I look at the way it is organized
it feels like it could be a really good thing for other groups to emulate,
in terms of the way it tells the story. There is a Waveplace Foundation and
it feels like a very important strategic OLPC project; they are right in the
middle of developing materials for a pilot. The U.S. Virgin Islands is in
some ways like the developing world, but within the U.S.They've certainly
suffered enough under 500 years of colonial oppression. -- the Caribbean
people have a wonderful creative spirit and I hope the project goes well.

If you develop an Interest in Waveplace, maybe you could create a little
wiki page - there might already be one, not sure. hopefully there's
something that responds to "waveplace" in the wiki.laptop.org search box.
Seems like an important thing to support -- headed by a bright tech expert
who can articulate well and who has a good heart -- and them going through
all the tech required, developing training materials, etc. -- seems like it
will help everyone else in a great way, and make a good contribution.

"Fascinating for me to sit here and realize the interplay and influence that
music can have -- it is a part of my life, yet I haven't continued as I
could, partly out of thinking "there are more important things". but it has
it's place. i am sitting at olpc offices, and someone is playing pink floyd,
and I think music is a gift of creativity that can inspire an atmosphere of
creativity, and the range of such echoes is infinite." - Me
