Jerome,

I assume browser=firefox? What version?

I know on SuSE, this exact problem happens with any Firefox 3.0.* version. 
This problem disappears in Firefox 3.1 beta 3. Obviously it is a problem,  but 
hopefully it will go away with time even if noone has time to investigate/fix.
