Next to the other .mo files - lang/gr/LC_MESSAGES/etoys.mo

Not quite. You need to run that dev image using the Squeak VM, and  
use the browser tools in there. It is not "pre-compiled" but an ever  
evolving snapshot of live objects, including classes and methods,  
which of course are objects, too. Squeak was derived from the  
original Smalltalk, which abandoned the idea of starting from source  
code more than 30 years ago. Indeed, some objects in that image are  
more than 30 years old.
