"No signature for our key list"

Following up for the mailing list.  In discussions on IRC,

1.  the fs-update problem was due to a specific filesystem on a USB
drive, ... for which I have offered to diagnose further and fix in
Open Firmware if an image of the drive can be made,

2.  the "No signature for our key list" was due to deployment keys not
yet injected on the laptop.
