There are only 2 drivers in drivers/usb/serial that require firmware,
and we do not have them enabled. CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_EDGEPORT_TI and
CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_TI.
I can't see any USB-ethernet drivers that use firmware in the kernel source.

We disabled it for XO-1.5 early in the development cycle because it
caused kernel crashes. Could be reevaluated now, if someone tests it
and tells us that it works then we could enable it again.
