Actually, what happens is that it fetches the rpm, but refuses to
install it because it' s not signed. Edit /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo to
say gpgcheck=0

I got confused with the same earlier today installing nc, saw all the
familiar yum output, and then it wasn' t there. I hadn't spotted the
gpg check error.

Cannot comment on olpc-update problems...
