installing Silab driver on OLPC 852

Hi,

 

I'm working with the XO-1.5, 852, 2.6.31

 

I'm trying to install the Silabs cp2102 driver. Link to the driver:
http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/Software/cp210x-3.1.0.tar.gz

 

To install it I must run the "makerpm" script that use lots of commands that
are not default installed on this version (rpmbuild, make.). I tried to
install them (yum install .) but each time I got another problem. I think I
got to dead end.

 

Actually, it is quite weird because it says that the kernel is ready for the
cp210x.

 

Can anyone help me please.
