(actually I goofed and put the sticky side of the tape down, when it should have gone "up" to stick to the spreader, not to the board. but since now it's harder to remove I'll just leave it as it is)

Unbricking itself worked fine using a Mac, the instructions are good. I only had slight trouble afterwards when removing the serial connector, it's all so tiny.
