well, if you can reliably recreate this, it would be
worth turning on powerd tracing so that i can see what it's
doing before suspending.  ("powerd-config =trace-on")
if powerd is working properly, that should show the absence
of traffic counts during the previous, and the proper setting
of the wol option.  worth checking.
