Bootloader question

If you seriously are thinking of replacing OFW in your local OLPC
trials in order to shave five or ten seconds off the boot time, then
you have tons of talent but not much judgment -- and WAY too much time
on your hands. Don't waste your time on trivia; put your talent into
fixing some of the real major OLPC issues. (Like the lack of a high
quality book reader on the laptop; or the few bugs preventing
automatic suspend/resume support that would double the battery life;
or the tiny kernel regression that makes it hang dead when it runs out
of memory rather than killing a process; or the huge CPU load caused
by thrashing executable pages in from a compressed flash filesystem.)

Put your root filesystem on an SD card (and fix the bugs relating to
SD cards not properly remounting after suspend) if you want to avoid
JFFS2.
