Stop Button not working for my application

Hi,

     I have ported my application running on Linux to the XO. The
application runs alright but when I click on the stop button( The one
provided by sugar and not the one present in my application) the application
doesn't shutdown like other applications and I don't know why. What really
happens when we press the stop button corresponding to an activity. What
signals are sent to the activity?
