I saw that as well, but had wanted to give it a try before speaking up.

for the OLPC folks they would primarily want it packaged for Fedora 10. I 
personally would be interested to see how it works with Debian (with the 
thought that having good alternate distros will either force Fedora to 
slim down to be used in this sort of application, or eventually the 
overhead of running Fedora will be high enough to warrent a switch to 
something that can be slimmed down more)

I am still using Window Maker as my primary window manager (except on one 
laptop where I have KDE becouse the ubuntu windowmaker package didn't work 
well), so I don't count as a 'typical' desktop user.
