Hi,

Recently it was discussed here why no Python library existed that 
interacted directly with core X11.

Today I saw mentioned at lwn.net the Python-based window manager 
samurai-x2 which might be interesting in relation to that, and perhaps 
even more concretely as a default Window manager for Sugar?

If there is interest, I would be happy to attempt packaging samurai-x2 
for Debian.  I have plenty of other interesting tasks too, so will only 
do if if someone finds it relevant.
