T-shirt ideas / feedback

If someone can hook me up with a contact on the xo against green or orange i
can make it happen. working towards finding a supplier. cafepress allows for
infinite variation.
suggest letting ranking/voting decide on at least some designs; makes sense
from standpoint of those that would get purchased. don't know if caa is
controlling branding to the point of choosing/dictating "prime" designs, but
ranking would allow lifting out most popular for manufacturing run.
manufacturing run would bring back more $$ to kids. right now cafepress
pricing is simple $1.00 beyond their price. haven't had time to ask
cafepress to do @ cost for olpc. if someone wants to help reach out, or to
help on adapting art for a real manufacturing run, etc., let me know.
I don't think square logo is ideal, but I really did like it against white.
i think it is strong and would have a good response. there's also a
horizontal logo layout.
one option is to float design mockups through phpmyfaq
i asked a student in a class i'm teaching to come up with a mockup for a
tour t-shirt -- i think this would go over well (attached) -- I was thinking
back to my rock n roll days. recently I've been wearing my tour lanyard and
backstage pass -- and i think that would be fun too.
the idea is to have maybe target countries as tourdates. not sure if
cafepress could handle this. i test ordered merch and will receive some fri,
some monday. it's a start. there's two doodz who are helping, and maybe a
high school class that can do adaptations (I'm thinking of asking them to
make adaptations in different languages). want to get away from cafepress
but it's a start. and also a way to include more designs.
