Enabling OProfile in the OLPC kernels?

I have been successful in getting OProfile in timer mode to work on a OLPC Beta 
2 machine. Would it be worthwhile to build the OProfile module in the kernel 
build? Developers might find it useful to get some system-wide sampling to find 
out where the hot spots are in code. Are there reasons other than space 
constraints that OProfile support is not included in the kernel?
