testing individual antennae

Does anyone have a test procedure for individual antennae on B1 or B2?

Putting it another way, after replacing antennae with the new rubber
ones, how can I tell that both connectors are home and that the cables
and antennae are working?

One method that seems to work a little bit is to shield the antennae
with hand or foil.  But if there was a way to obtain signal strength per
antenna, or to disable one or the other, then this would be a more
reliable test.
