 I still think it may be useful to have PRS capability at the firmware
 level, so I went ahead with my lightweight parser.  It's certainly
 possible to get control of the system at an early enough level to do
 meaningful comparisons of expected vs actual register values, especially
 for "set it and forget it" registers.

 So far the tool is reporting 339 discrepancies between the PRS list and
 the actual registers.  Quite a few of those are innocuous or easily
 explained by software action such as USB probing, but there are some that
 we probably need to have a look at.
